Thought that the cup would keep liquids cold, but it gets warm within an hour tried a couple of ice cubes and they melted within a couple of hours. Still like the cup and the design tho...It does not keep the drink cold. It's ok if you drink it fairly quickly but if you're like me that likes to take time drinking your beverage this is not the mug for that.This is a nice product, made in America.For my husband, a life-long Orioles fan, this coffee travel mug is a big hit. He loves it and carries it with pride. I was sorry to read of another reviewer's assessment that his Dodgers mug was cheaply made. That is not our experience with the Orioles mug. There is a heavy, approximately 2" stainless steel rim around the top, which is decorated with a metal logo of the Orioles bird and the words "Orioles" and "Baltimore" etched into it. The bottom 4 1/2 inches is covered with a thiner metallic decorative wrap. It seems pretty sturdy but time will, of course, tell. It is NOT dishwasher safe. All I can say is that my husband has reached for this mug each day since he received it for Christmas and it's holding up well with reasonable care. Since he's happy with it, so am I.Update: It's been over a year of almost daily use and this coffee mug has held up splendidly and looks as good as new. Just hand-wash it and you'll be fine.I sent this to my brother in law & he said he loved it! He said that his cold drink cold.Seems sturdy enoughthe look of the mug is nice but the lid does not firmly seal with the mug. very disappointing quality, wouldnt buy againVery useful for drinks
