If you have never had a Mario Luca Giusti “faux” glass item you are in for a treat, be it glasses or pitchers. I am reviewing a set of 6 turquoise tumblers. The color is delicious, perhaps more Caribbean blue than turquoise.They are beautiful, impeccably crafted with no seams and have defined edges, not sloppily rounded moulded edges that are so telltale of an inferior product. These items are used on very expensive yachts and with good reason.They dont look like plastic or polycarbonate, they dont feel like it in your hand, the weight and balance is appropriate for the size of the object.They go thru the dishwasher on the top rack and do not crack or craze.( used them for a year now).Feel free to drop them on the floor and they do not crack.They only thing that has caused one to crack and get scratched is our busy little two year old grandson who can be a bit rough. Still, it did not break. It handled the little kid treatment so well that I immedialty ordered more. And I ran the beat-up one through the dishwasher and it is still very functional for the two year old.These are not cheap for a reason. You wont have to buy a new set next year.
